Some time ago we have already published an article about how you can teach yourself Russian with free online resources. Today we offer you a list of online resources that will help you to learn to speak Russian.

Real Russian Club

Real Russian Club is a website and YouTube channel created by a certified Russian language teacher Daria Molchanova. She offers free audio and video lessons based on the TPRS method (studying with funny stories). Besides, on her YouTube channel you can find a lot of video materials that will teach you to speak Russian: the lessons dedicated to the basic Russian vocabulary, pronunciation tips and exercises, and slow spoken Russian speech which it very helpful for beginners.

RussianPod101

RussianPod101 is a great source of fun, interesting and culturally relevant lessons that are easy to listen to. But not only are they fun – they’re effective too! Among the offered tools are: podcasts for all levels, in-depth lesson notes, Russian word of the day, survival phrases, access on Android, iPhone or iPad, HD videos, flashcards, interactive lesson quizzes and much more!

Russificate

Russificate is one of the leading Russian schools with students from 45 different countries of the world. The school offers one on one and group Skype Russian lessons with professional teachers, native Russian speakers. This is one of the first websites to offer Russian language webinars. The The founder of the school, Yulia Amlinskaya, is a certified Russian language teacher. Her Russian language blog Russificate with free online lessons received multiple awards. Recently she also founded a school Russificate Kids that focuses on education of bilingual children. If you really want to learn to speak Russian, give it a try! The first lesson is free on charge.

Learn Russian 101

Learn Russian 101 is a whole network of free Russian learning websites to which Russian Pen Pal belongs to. The sites of the network offer a great variety of lessons, exercises and other activities to learn and practice Russian language. The unique feature of Learn Russian 101 websites is that the content is offered in 3 different languages: English, Spanish and French. Here are the sites:

Learn Russian Step by Step

Learn Russian Step by Step is a free Russian grammar and vocabulary course for beginners. It includes short audio lessons covering important Russian grammar points and basic phrases. If you are a complete beginner, it’s a good place to start with.

Everyday Russian

Everyday Russian offers free online Russian lessons for all levels. The lessons are accompanied by an audio file recorded by a native Russian speaker. More than 10 types of activities include Russian verb conjugation, texts with questions, dictations, error correction exercises, grammar and vocabulary tests, and so on.

Learn Russian Daily

Learn Russian Daily allows you to have a daily Russian practice. Subscribe to the Russian word of the day and receive a new Russian word or phrase in your inbox every day. In Russia we say “повторенье – мать ученья” (repetition is a mother of learning). With Learn Russian Daily you can repeat all the words and phrases with flashcards. There is also an audio Russian phrasebook (for the moment available only in English).

Очень по-русски (Very Much Russian)

Very Much Russian is an audio podcast for intermediate and advanced Russian learners. If you’ve been learning Russian for a while but still struggle to understand Russian conversational speech, this website will be a great help for you. Every episode of the podcast is dedicated to one or a few Russian expressions including Russian slang, Russian idioms, Russian proverbs and even Russian swears. With Very Much Russian you can learn Russian beyond your standard textbooks, exactly as Russians speak it!

Recently the website has also launched a section with Russian jokes. Every joke comes with stress marks, translation in English and audio.
